Wine Tasting Evening

Winterbourne Medieval Barn

7pm - 9.30pm

We welcome Ian Redfearn back to guide us through a range of festive wines from Italy. With an eye to ideas for Christmas, this selection will include some robust white and red wines, as well as a sparkler(!)

With 25 years experience in the wine trade, Ian makes the ideal host for the evening. He will give some background information on each wine's individual appearance, aroma and flavour, and he will welcome questions and comments. Cheese and biscuits are supplied to accompany the wines. You will be seated around tables of 4 - 8 people and the event will be both informative and fun.

Ian will have a small amount of these wines to sell by the bottle on the evening should you wish to purchase any. Cash and card payments are accepted, and a percentage of these sales is kindly being donated back to Winterbourne Medieval Barn.

OVER 18s ONLY. Please drink responsibly. Numbers are strictly limited and pre-booking is essential. Tickets £25 including cheese and biscuits and wine. Book via the Barn website or on Ticketsource.

Free car parking available on site, but vehicles cannot be left overnight. There is plenty of space for bicycles, and for drop-off / pick-up if you prefer to arrange this. There are also plenty of taxi firms serving the Winterbourne area. Buses Y1 and Y2 (operated by First) run between Bristol and Yate along Winterbourne High Street half hourly. From George & Dragon or Park Avenue it is approximately a 10 minute walk down to the Barn. A torch is useful on Church Lane.
Bus Y6 runs from Yate to Parkway Station and The Mall via Beacon Lane and the High Street.

The primary purpose of the event is to raise money for WMBT and to support conservation, management, maintenance and improvement of the WMBT site.
