Fair Trade is coming back to the United Reformed Church: When Traidcraft went into administration in January we didn't know what the future held.
But it is coming back under the banner of “We Are Fair Trade”, and we hope to be running the Saturday Stall at the URC again in the near future. Our tentative plan is to relaunch on Saturday 3rd June, but we shall need help to do so. If you support the idea of Fair Trade by buying items from local outlets, helping to keep alive the Fair Trade Town signs on the approaches to Thornbury, please get in touch to find out how you can be involved in maintaining this long-running stall. As well as staffing the stall, we need people to deal with orders, publicity etc. Although the stall was set up by members of local churches, we welcome all members of the community. If we are unable to restart on Saturday 3rd June, you can come in to the church in Chapel Street any Saturday between 10am and noon for a cup of Fair Trade tea or coffee and a chat, and find out when we hope to be operational.
