Car parking Charges - Changes to Bark Raw Working Hours
Thornbury customers will be aware car parking charges come into force from the 19th of May. These charges apply on all weekdays and Saturday from 8am until 6pm in the evening. Of course, the peak shopping times!
Most of Bark Raw's customers find this frustrating, especially following the pedestrianisation of the High Street and the imminent shortage of charge free car parking that these charges will bring about.
We are trying to find ways of ‘working within the system’ to help you, and, to be honest, help us, making your shopping experience in Thornbury as pleasant as we can and keep you visiting. The High Street and St Mary’s want and need your custom to thrive and survive.
To do this we have decided to adapt some of our working times to better suit our customers’ needs, opening at some times for business when charges do not apply, saving you money and still providing the service we currently provide for our four-legged friends and their owners.
We are reducing where we can the South Gloucestershire Council imposed necessity to ‘pay to shop’.
We hope we will offer a small but positive way to support you and hope in turn you will support us in this initiative when and where you can.
Collaborating with us are our friends at Hawkes House who are offering an additional incentive to Bark customers at those times of a 20% off voucher for meals on both Wednesday and Friday nights. Vouchers are for that night only and are available only with a product purchase from Bark (Thornbury only at this time) between 6pm and 9pm.
We will trial this scheme for 2 months and if it is successful will make it a permanent fixture. If unsuccessful and unsupported we will know we have tried. So, all support is welcome.
We are also looking at other ways of providing an offset to car parking charges, but more of that later.
From the 19th May - Opening times at Bark Thornbury will change to the following:
Monday 12noon to 5pm
Tuesday 9am to 5pm
Wednesday 9am to 5pm & 6pm to 9pm (late night shopping)
No Car parking Charges from 6pm to 9pm - Open in the evening
Thursday 9am to 5pm
Friday 9am to 5pm & 6pm to 9pm (late night shopping)
No Carparking Charges from 6pm to 9pm - Open in the evening
Saturday 9am to 5pm
Sunday 9am to 5pm No CARPARKING CHARGES Now open all day until 5pm
