Bat Walk and Talk
Yate Common
Bat walk and talk on Yate Common with South Gloucestershire Council
June 11 @ 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Enjoy a short introductory talk on the fascinating bat species found in the UK, then head out on a guided walk to discover these amazing nocturnal creatures in your local area. Using bat detectors, we’ll listen for and identify different species as they fly and forage at dusk. A fun and educational experience for all ages – come and see (and hear!) what’s flying around after dark.
What to expect: Doors open at 9pm, with the talk beginning at 9:15pm. The talk will last around 15 minutes, followed by a gentle 30 minute stroll with the bat detectors. Expect some uneven ground underfoot as the route is not all footpath.
Everyone welcome, including families with children – no need to book.
