Friends of Filnore Woods Work Morning

We will meet as usual near the tool store by the main wood entrance that's over the field from the Leisure Centre car park corner.
Work mornings are usually from 10am till 12pm on the second Sunday and fourth Wednesday of every month.
My current plan is to clear the brambles that are up past the pylon, to the left of the path. It will be easier to clear them now before they get a hold next spring. I would usually ask S Glos to do this as part of the late summer grass cutting but they didn't do that this year because of machinery problems. It would also be good to clear the sides of the steps which are just along from the brambles and lead down to the bridge. This will involve mattocks to renew the trenches either side of the steps and will hopefully improve drainage and reduce the mud on the steps.
