The Swan, Thornbury
We are running our regular Christmas Market Day trip to Worcester, the price is £20 per person, which includes a bacon roll and a hot drink at the Swan.
The itinerary is - meet at The Swan from 8am for a free coffee and a bacon roll. Leave for outside the Swan at 9am on the dot we will have all day to browse around the Christmas Market and shops until we are picked up at 7pm.
Tickets will sell out as always, you can book your ticket from The Swan, ask any of the bar staff who will be able to help you. Mobility scooters are allowed, provided that they can be folded down and go in the luggage compartment of the bus. Tickets are available now get yours early.

Old Down Estate’s Illumination Trail returns for its fourth year. From 6th–28th December, the Country Park will be transformed into a glowing after-dark spectacle, complete with sparkling light installations, a festive village, and family-friendly activities.
New for 2025, the trail follows a refreshed route with added features, including an illuminated Adventure Park and seasonal market stalls. Visitors can enjoy free marshmallow toasting, free creative activities in the Crafty Cabin, and purchase Old Down’s famous apple crumble, alongside festive food and drink. Old Down Estate will welcome families to Santa’s Grotto from 20–24 December. Children can meet Santa, receive a hand-picked gift, and capture the moment with a family photograph.
New for 2025, entry for adults is free, and the grotto will be set within Pets Corner, where visitors can also meet and feed the animals.
Tickets include a visit to Santa in his festive grotto, a special present for children, a family photo, and Pets Corner access. Please note this experience does not include full Country Park entry.

Family friendly service. Children are welcomed to join in and act out the Christmas story. Rehearsal in the morning for those that can make it, where parts and costumes are handed out. Very welcome to join in even if it is the afternoon only. There is room in the stable for unicorns and dinosaurs too! Traditional carols and fun for all the family.
Rehearsal is at 11am!
