An afternoon of food, friends and festive cheer.
We send out invitations to our Christmas Big Lunch to those who are lonely, isolated and may find things particularly difficult this festive season after Covid and with the cost of living crisis.
It's fair to say prices for everything have gone up, particularly after not holding an in-person event for 3 years.
So, we are asking for help with the following items to be donated or financial contributions to allow us to provide the same wonderful afternoon of festive fun and food for people in our community who would otherwise not celebrate Christmas with others.
*Boxes of biscuits to give as gifts to our guests
*White, red and rose wine and sherry and Baileys to serve plus soft drinks
*Wrapping paper to make our presents look pretty
*Mince pies and mints to serve with coffee
*Christmas cards so we can give each guest a written memory of the day
We pay a brilliant chef to cook a delicious 3-course meal for our guests and will provide all the trimmings and extras plus singing and we have a local school choir coming in.
Any help with any of the above would be greatly appreciated by all of us and our guests.
