Tree Planting Event
The Forest of Avon, which is the West of England’s community forest, planting trees and creating woodlands across the region for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive, is holding a tree planting event in Horton.
We’ll be planting wood pasture trees adjacent to the Little Avon River. This will increase the diversity of the site and provide essential habitat connectivity close to Lower Woods. We are really looking forward to making Horton and the surrounding area greener!
It would be amazing to involve the local community with the tree planting, to engage the public with local nature recovery. We’d love to get some volunteers or groups of volunteers signed up – and a day of tree planting is a great way to spend time outdoors, take in the fresh air and feel good about making your local area a little bit greener!
