Yate and District Archaeology Group Talk

Poole Court, Yate

Our evening talk will be given by Barry Simon about St Kenelm and St Kenelm's way.

St Kenelm was an Anglo-Saxon prince who is associated with Winchcombe Abbey and St Kenelm's Way marks the supposed route his body was carried on by the monks of Winchcombe Abbey. There are various versions of the life and death of this young prince, a grandson of King Offa, which Barry Simon will outline for us.

As usual, all are welcome - no charge for Yadag members and £5 on the door for others.
