History Talk: Saturnalia: From Roman Winterfests to Modern Christmas Customs
Olveston Parish Historical Society History Talk: A welcome return for Dr Mark Lewis, Senior Curator (Roman) at the National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon, who will give us a talk about winter festival customs. Discover how some of our present practices have Roman origins.
All meetings take place in the Methodist Church, The Street, Olveston BS35 4DR at 7.30pm, with refreshments served before the start of the meeting.
Annual membership (for all monthly evening meetings, October to April) is £10. Visitor fee for a single meeting is £3. Both are payable on the door. Fee includes refreshments.
