South Gloucestershire Race Equality Network (SGREN) would love to present you our work!
The Travelling Library of the World in Yate Library from now until the 16th of June 2023.
In partnership with Active Libraries South Gloucestershire, SGREN presents a Travelling Library of books featuring Ethnically Diverse characters and/or authors.
The collection showcases stories from around the world including Africa, India, the West Indies, Eastern Europe, the Middle East plus many more. It has been curated out of personal recommendations, provided by SGREN's members which will also be available as a resource for other libraries, schools and community spaces.
The Travelling Library of the World will visit each main library within South Gloucestershire for 3-4 weeks at a time, where the books will be available to borrow, as usual. Many of the books have multiple copies that can be found in other libraries in the West of England, even whilst our collection is elsewhere.
