Summer Barn Dance
Winterbourne Medieval Barn
Celebrate summer with us and come along to our ever-popular Summer Barn Dance. What could be better than a proper Barn Dance in a real barn? And a spectacular heritage barn at that!
Fabulous Gloucestershire band Sargent's Mess will again be providing the rousing tunes, with Ann on accordion, Naomi on violin, and Nick on guitar. Experienced caller Rob tells you all the steps as you go along. Suitable for all ages. No experience is necessary. Chaos and fun guaranteed!
Doors and the bar will open at 6pm and you are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the grounds from this time. Please note that in line with licensing laws, only drinks bought at the Barn may be consumed on site. Please dispose of any litter responsibly.
The band will play from 7pm. Dancing starts at 7.30pm and the band will take a break in the middle of the evening. The bar is open all evening so you can flop down with a drink if you get too hot! Dancing is not absolutely compulsory, and if you prefer to just listen to the band and watch the action, that's fine too. So come along with your friends and family, and enjoy a sociable midsummer evening down at the Barn with traditional folk music and lots of fun.
Free parking at the Barn. If you need a wheelchair accessible parking space or any accessible seating for the event, please email below with your vehicle registration number and specific requirements, so that we can arrange this for you. Plenty of space for bicycles at the Barn, and room for drop off / pick up if you prefer to arrange this. Buses Y1 and Y2 (operated by First) run Bristol - Yate along Winterbourne High Street half hourly. Bus Y6 runs Yate - Parkway Station - The Mall via Beacon Lane and the High Street.
Tickets £12 (£9 for under 16s and registered disabled). Book online direct on Ticketsource or via the Barn website below.
