Plough Sunday Service
St James the Elder, Horton
On Sunday 12th January 2025 there will be a joint St Adeline’s and St James’ church service held at St James’, Horton to mark Plough Sunday.
Plough Sunday is a traditional English celebration of the beginning of the agricultural year, involving bringing a ploughshare into a church with prayers for the blessing of the land.
Everyone is welcome with special invitations to our farming community. We will have a plough to bless and after the service we can all enjoy coffee and cake together.
